چکیده
Kent State University's College of Public Health was established in 2009 to educate and train students to meet the current and projected shortage of public health professionals in Ohio and the nation. It is one of only two schools of public health in Ohio and the first to offer a Bachelor of Science in Public Health degree. The college's academic programs integrate theory and practice to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to address the health challenges of the 21st century. Faculty engage in cutting edge research that seeks answers to some of society's most difficult problems, including preventing violence, responding to natural and man made disasters, curbing substance abuse and improving the delivery of health care. Partners include local health departments, community organizations, health care institutions and businesses; those partnerships provide students with real-world experiences in public health.
